Established at the heart of Vénissieux, in the surburbs of the city of Lyon, since 1986, Bioforce has shown its commitment to the metropolitan area through its work with local associations and young people.

Developing a local dynamic.

Every year, Bioforce trainees get involved in projects run by local organisations in the metropolitan area of Lyon, supervised by the Bioforce team. Their involvement varies according to the course they are taking (operational support for youngest trainees, operational or methodological support to local charitable organisations for those taking professional training courses), the impact of which is recognised by local partner organisations: new drive within the team, in connection with local partners, with partners from other towns or with institutional partners ; new tools to manage and monitor their activities, for communications purposes, surveys, etc.; new ideas for action within the local area.

Promoting citizenship and solidarity.

The Young People for Citizenship and Solidarity project is intended for young people aged 12 to 25 and aims to introduce them to the notions of solidarity, citizenship and commitment. Throughout the year, the Bioforce team conduct awareness raising sessions on various themes: stereotypes and discrimination, disparities in access to water, education and healthcare, respect, living together, preventing violence, communications and inter-cultural relations, an introduction to professions in the international aid sector, ways of making a commitment, and so on.
